Fresh flower market sign with pink floral flowers in a vignette with a pink polka dot flower

Fresh Flower Market Sign

Have you seen all of the new Spring decor that the Dollar Tree has put out this year? Oh my goodness, you need to head on over and check it all out! As soon as I saw this Fresh Flower Market sign, I knew that I had to grab one. I’ve been on a roll making flower decor for Spring and this sign was PERFECT for my collection.

INSTRUCTIONS

First, I began by tracing out the flowers onto the scrapbook paper and cutting them out. Next, I applied the mod podge to the flowers and placed the paper on top.

I recycled a 1’x2′ piece of plywood from an old craft to use as the base of my sign. Using my glue gun, I applied the Fresh Flower Market Sign and the Flowers to it.

To create some texture to the sign, I grabbed the rope from The Dollar tree and decided to make a stem and leaves with it. I was really happy and quite proud of myself with the way it turned out. LOL I get excited over the littlest things!

To create the center of the flower, I took some jute and wrapped it around in a circle. I used hot glue to secure it.

To add some “grass” I took this mesh style ribbon and hot glued it over the flower stems. I ended up double layering it. You can find this in the ribbon section over at Hobby Lobby.

All that was left was to make a hanger for the sign. I used jute to strand some wood beads on to create the hanger. Once that was done, I flipped the sign over and hot glued it to the back.

TIP…. Use a small piece of fabric or ribbon and glue over the jute to help better secure it down.

And…… she’s all done!! How cute did this turn out? It’s exactly what my Flower collection needed!

What I love most is that it was made from mostly things you can get at the Dollar Tree and no one would even know it!

Oops… I forgot to mention that I used 2 flat wood beads for the center of the flower!
