Gray dollar tree wood riser with a green plant on top.

Easy Diy Wood Riser

I LOVE to add height to my vignettes and everyday decor and risers are a GREAT way to do that. You can use all kinds of things as risers from books to candle holders, but it’s fun to make your own too! I’m about to show you how EASY they are to make. This one started with one of my finds from the good ol’ Dollar Tree.

Here is what I used:

INSTRUCTIONS:

The first thing I did was paint over the wording on my sign in the color Mineral, but you can use whatever color you like! I loved the little plant image on it and wanted to leave it. It kind of has an organic vibe that I like.

Next, I hot glued my flat wood beads all around the top of the wood circle over the gray paint.

Here is what it ends up looking like.

For the next step, I flipped it over and hot glued on 4 round wood beads to use at the feet.

For the last step, I painted the wood beads in Mineral. Of course, I had to distress it a little with a sanding block. THAT’S ALL THERE IS TO IT! I told you they are easy to make.😀

Here a few different ways that I staged it.

I really like it with this wood biscuit tree.

And it looks super cute with my Diy Dollar Tree Rope Basket on it too. I can’t decide which one I like best! As you can see, you can use it anywhere and with anything to just add a little bit of height. Where will you put yours?
