How to make a diy easter carrot burlap sack.

diy carrot burlap sack

Hey friends…are you looking for a simple idea to add to your Easter decor? This diy carrot burlap sack is so easy to make and is just darling! I love to make simple and affordable crafts that look boutique worthy. You can get mostly all of the stuff to make this from The Dollar Tree and trust me, no one would ever know! They are perfect for a simple Spring Vignette, a tiered tray and I love them on my Easter Mantel.

Here is what you’ll need:

  • Dollar Tree Bunny Treat Sacks
  • Dollar Tree Carrots
  • Dollar Tree Carrot garland
  • Spanish Moss
  • Jute
  • Rice
  • Coffee grounds
  • Stamp set or black sharpie

Let’s get started!

I first began by cutting the tips off of the top of the treat bag to make the top even.

Using my stamp kit, I stamped the words “bunny bait and bunny treats” onto the treat bags. If you don’t have a stamp kit, you can use a sharpie to write out the words too!

To make the bag look rustic and weathered, I grabbed some coffee grounds and rubbed them all over the bag. I found that this technique worked better with the coffee grounds being damp.

I used a 16oz. bag of rice to fill up the treat bag. It took roughly a little over half of the bag to fill it.

Add a little spanish moss on top to cover up the rice.

I cut off three of the carrots from this carrot garland and placed them in the bag.

All that was left was to tie some jute around the carrots and around the bag. That’s it! How easy was that?

These are the perfect addition to my Spring decor and they look so cute on my Easter Mantel. They make great fillers for those smaller spots that you may need a little something extra.
