Diy Cone Christmas Tree

I love an easy craft and this DIY CONE CHRISTMAS TREE is just about as easy as you can get. Cone trees are fun to make an allows you to get really creative making them several different ways. In addition, you can whip up a few in a matter of minutes.

Supplies Needed:

  • paper mache cardboard cone
  • yarn
  • glue gun
  • embellishments
  • ribbon

How to make a Diy Cone Christmas Tree

I started by simply putting a ribbon of hot glue around the base of the cone. Then I added the yarn on top of it.

I continued winding the yarn around the cone until I reached the top.

I think it took me all of about 5 minutes to do complete it.

The tree looks pretty as is, but I decided to add some of this pom pom garland around it. I thought the pom poms would look like garland strung around the tree.

On one of my Dollar Tree outings, I picked up a pack of these Christmas foam pieces. The snowflake was perfect for the tree topper!

I added some gold rope ribbon between the Pom Pom garland to add a little color.

That’s it! Seriously, how simple is this project? You can customize the trees and make them whatever colors you like.

Get creative by adding different embellishments to it. Make is a simple or fancy as you like.

I just love how these turned out and how SIMPLE they are to make. I cannot wait to add them to my Christmas decorating this year.

  1. Thank you very much for the round-up. What a fun and resourceful idea. My daughter (Anna) is decorating her 1st apartment and that is a hip-vibe project for very little money.
I think they look very stylish and have plans to search outstretch velvet in turquoise to add some height to my Christmas mantle.

Has anyone found a nice online source for stretch velvet?
