I have to tell you that I have a little bit of an obsession with gnomes. They are just so darn cute and easy to make. I was strolling through the aisles the other day at Home Goods and I came across a few really cute ones. They inspired me to make a little Halloween gnome.
So, off to the Dollar Tree I went, searching for whatever I can come up with to create my cute little fella! I came across a cylinder container over in the wrapping paper section and BOOM!!! The lightbulb went off. I searched the store for a few more supplies and he was ready to come to life.

Supplies Needed:
- Cardboard cylinder container from The Dollar Tree
- Material. (I used some from a pair of witch legs from The Dollar Tree)
- Fur
- sock
- Knob or something round for nose
- Glue Gun
- Plastic spiders or other embellishments
- polyfil fiber
First, I started by taking these witch legs and cutting them in half. This is the material I used to cover the cardboard cylinder. You can find these over at The Dollar Tree.
Next, I grabbed the glue gun and applied the material onto the cylinder.
I like to collect knobs from old furniture or from wherever I find them. They can be repurposed for so many cool things. I grabbed this wooden one from my son’s old dresser and added some gray paint. It was a perfect nose!
For the hat, I went shopping in my husbands sock drawer. He has so many pairs of socks, that I’m sure he won’t miss a pair. I cut it off right above the part where your foot goes. Next, I stuffed the sock with some Polyfil. You can click here for it >>>>https://amzn.to/3ckzFaz. Tie it off with a piece of ribbon and that’s it.
I grabbed the fur piece, cut it in half and glued it on, making sure to place it under the sock. Shape it with a pair of scissors and now you have a beard.
The last step was to glue on the nose. Be creative and have fun decorating the little guy!
I just LOVE how he turned out! I think that I might have an new addiction making gnomes!
So, what do you think? Isn’t it just the cutest? I would love for you to leave a comment!
