Mexican food is one of my favorite foods and when I go to a Mexican restaurant I judge whether it’s going to be good by the taste of their salsa. Do you do that too? Chips and Salsa are on of my favorite snacks to eat and this recipe is one of my favorites! I make it often as a quick grab and go snack.

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1 28oz Can of Whole, Peeled Tomatoes
  • Fresh cilantro
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 4 green onions
  • 2 jalapeƱos
  • 1 Serrano chili
  • Fresh, squeezed lime juice

How to make this easy Homemade Salsa Recipe

The recipe and instructions for this easy home salsa recipe just couldn’t be any easier! Simply place all of the ingredients into a blender or food processor and pulse it until well blended. You can adjust the consistency to your liking.

Start with your fresh ingredients. I prefer to use green onion, but at the time I made this recipe I discovered that I was out of them. I did have some leftover chopped white onions that I substituted for this recipe. Either way is good!

Toss the seeded jalapeƱos, serrano, garlic, onion and a handful of cilantro into your blender or food processor and pulse until all ingredients are finely chopped.

Into those ingredients, add the can of whole tomatoes, (juice included) and fresh, squeezed lime juice. Blend until desired consistency. Add salt to your liking. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes while all those flavors come together.

Enjoy with your favorite tortilla chips or add to tacos, enchiladas and more!
