Dollar Tree Valentine Gnome

Oh my, I have to admit that I have developed an addiction to gnomes! They are EVERYWHERE these days and are just too darn cute!! They are super easy to make and you can make one out of just about out of anything. I created this ADORABLE little guy out of all items that you can purchase at the Dollar Tree. Are you ready to make one? Let’s go ahead and get started!

Here is what you’ll need:

I found these treat bags at the Dollar Tree. You get 3 to a pack, which means 3 adorable gnomes. 😀

To start, you will want to fill your treat bag with something. I used a bag of dried beans. I used about 3/4 of the bag to fill one.

For the nose, I used a half wood bead. It was the perfect size for this little guy. I purchased a bag on Amazon. Here is my referral link for the ones that I use. https://amzn.to/3qfU7iR. They come in handy for several craft projects! I painted it pink.

To make the beard, I used some yarn that I had on hand. I grabbed a note pad and began winding the yarn around it until I got the size that I wanted.

I slipped it off of the notepad. Next, I cut another small piece of yarn. I looped it through, tied it off and cut the bottom.

I hot glued it onto the treat bag.

Next, I grabbed the sock and cut it to the desired length. I glued it onto the sack and filled it with some polyfil.

What a cute hat!!

I took some ribbon and tied a bow around the top of the hat and added a heart felt sticker from The Dollar Tree.

Isn’t he just the cutest little gnome ever! He is the perfect size to display in a tiered tray or anywhere that you can think of. What’s great too is that it costs less than $2.00 to make! At that price, you can make as many as you want!

I really hope that you enjoyed this craft. If you did, can you please do me a favor and share it with your friends? That would make my heart happy!

Don’t forget to PIN for later!!
