Re-purpose some of your vegetable cans and turn them into some good use! I took three of my green bean cans and recycled them into a fun Diy Tin Can Caddy that can be used for many items! We all have canned goods in our pantry that are waiting to be made into a craft project. 😉 You can use this little caddy for paint brushes, utensils, makeup brushes and many other things. How you use and decorate it is up to you. Here is what I did with mine.
How to make a Diy Tin Can Caddy
Here is what you’ll need:
- 3 tin cans. (I used my green bean cans from Dinner)
- A wooden dowel. I used a 1×36. It was 9” tall.
- ribbon
- chalkboard tags
- hot glue
- screws
- power drill
- Jute
After removing the labels and cleaning your cans, you will want drill holes on the top part of the cans. Next, take your dowel and line up the holes onto to the dowel and make a mark with a pencil. This is where you will drill your holes for your screws.
To create cute little labels, I used these heart chalkboard tags that I found at The Dollar Tree.
This chevron style burlap was perfect to add extra security to the tin cans. Just tie your ribbon around the cans and adhere with hot glue.
We entertain a lot at our house, so this Diy Tin Can Caddy is perfect for entertaining purposes! It is super easy to transport from inside to outside. If you like to camp, it’s great for that too! Set it out on your picnic table with your plastic ware, bug spray, sunscreen and many other things. Paint and decorate it a fun color. The possibilities are endless!
I hope this has inspired you to save those cans and to create something cute with them! Let me know in the comments how you will use yours.
