The Dollar Tree has finally put out their Spring decor and boy, oh boy do they have some cute things! Have ya’ll seen it yet? I’ve definitely been bit by the Spring bug and I’m itching to get my Spring crafting on. I’m about to show you a SUPER CUTE idea on how to make your own custom Spring sign using a few of the things that I found there! Are you ready??? Let’s get to creating!!
Here is what you’ll need:
- Dollar Tree Bunny sign
- 6 small frames from the Dollar Tree
- Paint
- Glue gun
- Wood garden stakes from the Dollar Tree
Let’s get started!!!
I first began by removing the Spring banner from the cute bunny sign. It peeled off very easy. I set the sign aside and will use it for a future craft project. This is definitely another one of what I like to call my “2-fer Projects.” That means that you can get 2 projects out of one sign. Sounds good to me! What about you?
Next, I removed the backing from the black frames and painted them in Agave and Sea shell pink. I grabbed a total of 6 frames… 3 of one size and 3 of another. I left the others their original color, which was white and gold.
Next up, I painted the cardboard backing from the frames in the color Ivory and set those aside to dry. Once the frames were dry, I sealed them with a varnish sealer.
For the next step, I cut out the letters from the spring banner and hot glued each one individually onto the cardboard backing.
Can you start to see how cute this is going to be?
Let’s put it together!!
The Dollar Tree had these wood garden stakes. My thought here was to glue the frames onto the the stakes so that they can all be together as one. I didn’t want to have to set up each frame individually every time I use them or move them. Yes, I’m lazy like that… LOL! I’ll show you what I’m talking about.
As you can see, I just glued and put the frame on top. I made sure to leave the leg stands out so that the frame will still be able to stand.
Flip it all over and it’s DONE!!!
How cute did this turn out? I hope you all like it and it inspires you to make one too!
