Hey friends…I am about to show you how to make the CUTEST Terra Cotta Pot Witch! This DIY project will look so adorable sitting around your home and she will make the perfect addition to your Halloween decor.
Are ready to learn how to make one of the cutest little witches you’ve ever seen? She is super easy to make and is budget friendly too! If you are like me and you love cute Halloween decor, trust me…you need to make her. She will definitely bring a smile to your face.
Here is what you will need to make your own terra cotta pot witch
- 2 terra cotta pots (7.5″)
- Witch hat
- raffia
- Witch legs
- green, black and white paint
- ribbon
- spider rings
- google eyes
- small rock for nose
- hot glue gun
I was lucky enough to find a witch hat that had the witches legs attached to them at the 99 Cents Store. If you cannot find them, the Dollar Tree has witch legs that you can use to attach as well.
How to make your own Terra Cotta Pot Witch
Begin by painting the pots, one black and the other one green. When they are dry, glue them together with your hot glue gun.
Next, I cut off the legs and the black lace that was attached to the witches hat. I glued the legs onto the black pot.
For her hair, I took some raffia and glued it to the top of the of the green terra cotta pot. TIP: Take two sections of raffia and tie them in the center to have better control when you are gluing them on.
Hot glue on the two googly eyes. I used a small rock from my yard for her nose and painted it green to match her face.
Add some ribbon where the two pots come together to clean it up the seams.
Have fun dressing her up! I added a cute bow to her hat and used a spider ring and these small plastic bones for the center of the bow. You can find them at the Dollar Tree.
That’s it…Meet Broom Hilda! I just love seeing her come to life! Isn’t she just the cutest?
I made her sister, Witch Hazel a few years ago. LOL Her legs are made out of plastic witch legs from the Dollar Tree.
Make sure you PIN her to your Halloween board for later!!!
I hope you all enjoyed learning how to make her. I would love to know if you will be making your own terra cotta pot witch for Halloween this year? Please leave a comment below and let me know.
