Dollar Tree Valentine’s Candle

I love a good Dollar Tree upcycle craft when it comes to seasonal decor. I never really decorated much for Valentine’s Day, but ever since I’ve started going to the Dollar Tree I just can’t help myself! They just have so many cute things to decorate with and for very little money. My Dollar Tree has now become the $1.25 Tree, but I still think that’s a pretty reasonable price for the amount of fun things that you can find there. Whenever I go I make sure to pick up a few of their tall glass candles because they are so fun to upcycle. This Dollar Tree Valentine’s Candle is easy and fun to make and it looks festive too! I can’t wait to show you how to make one or a few for yourself!

Here is what you will need:

• Dollar Tree tall glass candle
• Dollar Tree window clings
• Pink Glitter
• Mod Podge
• Ribbon
• Glue gun

Let’s get started!

I began by applying mod podge to the top part of the glass candle, roughly about 1/3 of the way down.

With the mod podge still wet, I sprinkled the glitter on top. Shake off the excess. I like to use a paper plate underneath so that I can put the unused glitter back into the container easily.

Next, I chose a few of the window clings and simply placed them on the glass. They held on just fine alone, but if you would like extra re-enforcements you can add some mod podge over them to seal them down.

Add some ribbon and embellishments if you’d like and that is it!! It honestly just doesn’t get any easier than that. Listen, if I can do it, so can you! You can also watch a video of this project here.
