Dollar Tree Bunny Topiary - Create Make Decorate with Nikki

I’m finding myself dreaming about Spring these days. I think that I’m just longing for that fresh and renewed feeling. With the way the world has been lately, we all could use a fresh, new beginning. As you will see I’ve been doing some Spring crafting! I love using bunnies in my Spring decor and I wanted to make something that looked a little rustic. I headed over to Pinterest to get some good ol’ inspiration and I found the cutest little bunny topiaries. Of course, I had to put my own spin on them.

Here’s what I did!

I started by painting the pot with my chalk paint. If you love the weathered look like me, these pots are perfect for achieving that look. The rough texture makes it the perfect medium when applying the paint. It instantly gives it the shabby look without much effort.

Next, I traced out the bunny onto some left over scrap book paper that I had from a previous project and used my mod podge to apply it.

After painting the popsicle stick in the color Plaster, I hot glued the bunny onto it.

I cut a piece of floral styrofoam and hot glued it into the pot. Next, I took the popsicle stick and pushed it into it. I used hot glue to secure it.

Time to decorate it!

It needed a little something on the top of the pot and Jute twine was perfect! I just simply wrapped it around and secured it with hot glue. The little bow and spanish moss finished it off!
