This year I have decided to change things up with my Christmas decor and go all out on red and white decor. It all started with a trip to Hobby Lobby and going into the Christmas section. Have you all seen their Christmas decorations this year? They have 2 whole aisles dedicated to all things red and white and I admit, I was drawn in! As I strolled through the aisles, I came across a raw wood Christmas Tree that would make a perfect diy for a red and white Christmas Tree decoration. At 40% off, of course I grabbed it and I’m excited to share with you exactly what I did with it!
Let’s get started!!
Supply list to make your own diy red and White Christmas Tree
- Hobby Lobby Wood Christmas Tree
- Mod Podge
- Scrap book paper
- Pom Pom Ribbon
- Glue gun
- Jute
I first started out by tracing the tree onto my scrapbook paper. The wood pieces are individual, so I traced and cut out each piece separately.
I found the striped scrapbook paper at Hobby Lobby. The polka dot paper is wrapping paper that I had leftover from Christmas last year.
Apply the paper to the tree with a paint brush and mod podge.
I found this cute pom pom ribbon at Hobby Lobby and hot glued it in between each piece of paper. It was a great way to clean up the lines and I thought it looked like garland on a tree.
To add some texture, I took some jute and wrapped it around trunk of the tree and secured it with hot glue.
That’s all there is to it! Seriously, how CUTE is this tree? It’s PERFECT for my red and white Christmas theme this year. I can’t wait to get the decorating started to see it all come together.
