Diy Dollar Tree Christmas Gnome

Gnomes are so popular right now and they are everywhere you look. I have to say that I have become a little gnome obsessed myself! What about you? This diy Dollar Tree Christmas Gnome is unique and so easy to make. One thing great about gnomes is that you can pretty much make them out of anything. For example, I made this one using a plastic plate! It’s all about getting creative and having fun!

Here is what you will need:

  • 8″ Plastic Plate from The Dollar Tree
  • Dollar Tree mop
  • Dollar Tree hat
  • Beer pong ball from the Dollar Tree
  • Glue gun
  • poly fil stuffing

How to make a Diy Dollar Tree Christmas Gnome

Start by disassembling the mop. It was a bit tricky getting it out of the plastic piece. I ended up taking a butter knife and placed it underneath the plastic and lifting the plastic piece up.

I took a piece of the string from the mop and tied all the pieces together in the center. This makes it easier to glue onto the plate.

Next, I put a BUNCH of hot glue onto the bottom part of the plate.

Now glue the mop on top of the plate. You will need to spread it out and tack it with more glue to get the shape that you want.

I grabbed the hat and put some polyfil stuffing inside, concentrating on the middle of the hat. Leave some room at the opening so that it fits over the plate. You can always add more after.

Next, I applied more hot glue to the top of the plate and slipped the hat over to where it slightly went over the beard.

I grabbed the beer pong ball and glued it on. Add some embellishments to that hat and you’re all done!

Honestly, how CUTE is he? I think this is literally one of the EASIEST and most ADORABLE gnomes ever and it only cost about $5.00 to make!

I ended up making a few of them. It fits perfect sitting inside of the wreath for my door!

Let me know what you all think about this Gnome in the comments below and if you will be making your own diy Dollar Tree Christmas Gnome. I can’t wait to hear!
