Christmas ornaments are easy and fun to make. They are a creative way to add that special touch to your tree. Handmade ornaments create great memories. It’s fun each year when you pull out the ornaments and reminisce over the time spent creating them. These diy Christmas Ornaments are super easy to make and you can customize them any way you want. It’s all about having fun and creating a special memory with your family and friends!
Here is what you will need:
- Tumbling Tower blocks from the Dollar Tree or Jenga blocks
- Dollar Tree Christmas stickers
- Mini ornaments from Walmart
- Paint color of your choice
- Glue Gun, super glue or wood glue
- Ribbon
Here are a few of the packages of stickers that I picked up at The Dollar Tree.
How to make your own diy Christmas Ornaments
Begin by assembling the tumbling tower blocks to the size that you want. I used a total of 5 for mine. Grab the glue of your choice to stick them together. I prefer to use super glue because it gives a cleaner look than hot glue. The hot glue leaves gaps between the wood, as you will on some of the ornaments that I made here.
Now that you have your pieces glued together, paint them the color of your choice. I painted mine white and stained a few of them with waverly antique wax.
To create a hanger, I used some jute and ribbon and hot glued them to the back of the blocks.
Next, grab the mini ornaments and hot glue onto the blocks!
I love the Dollar Tree wood stickers because you can paint and customize them to your style. Have fun and get creative with your ornaments! The possibilities are endless. You can see more of these dollar tree Christmas ornaments here.
I hope that you all enjoyed these ornaments and that you make some for yourself! These would be a great craft to make for a girls night or to gather the family around the table and create some fun memories! Hosting a Christmas ornament exchange party would be fun too.
