Dollar Tree Skeleton Serving Tray

I am on a roll this month with some fun and easy Halloween diy’s. If you have been following me along here for a while, you all know how I love the Dollar Tree for all things crafty. Halloween just happens to be one of my favorite Holidays and I am always looking for some creative ideas to add to my decor every year. Of course, without breaking the budget! On one of my trips to Home Goods I saw these adorable skeleton serving trays, but the prices were ridiculous! As cute as they were, I wasn’t about to spend $50.00 on one tray. I knew that I could duplicate one, so I created this Dollar Tree Skeleton Serving Tray for under $5.00!

You only need to pick up 2 things from the Dollar Tree to create this project!!! One is a plastic skeleton and the other is this metal/tin serving tray.

How to make a Dollar Tree Skeleton Serving Tray

The instructions for this tray are about as simple as can be! Begin by spray painting your skeleton whatever color that you want him to be. I used a flat white. You can leave him just as he is if you prefer!

Next, put it in a sitting position. They bend fairly easy.

Now, place the tray on top of his legs. Secure with hot glue. I made sure to put a good amount on the tops of the legs, the hands and feet.

Attach the hands on the edges of the tray with hot glue.

Secure the feet with hot glue too!

As an option, I used a cupcake holder that I found at the Dollar Tree to give him a crown! That’s all there is to it! Add your candy or your treats and you have the cutest Dollar Tree Skeleton Serving Tray for only a few dollars!!! Your family and friends will just love it!!
