Hey, have you seen these cute little house-shaped signs at the Dollar Tree? I remembered a Christmas sign that I saw over at Hobby Lobby and the lightbulb went off!
I grabbed some Christmas scrapbook paper and got busy!
Supplies needed:
- House-shaped wood sign from The Dollar Tree
- Christmas scrapbook paper
- paint
- Glue gun
- ribbon
- Pine cone embelishments
- Mod Podge
I started by painting the piece white with some Waverly chalk paint.
Next, I grabbed some scrapbook paper, traced out the shape and applied it with mod podge.
If you haven’t tried these chalk writers at The Dollar Tree, I highly recommend that you do! They are nice and easy to write with and go on smooth. A game changer for sure!
I love the word Joy, and it fit perfectly in the little space!
It was looking a little plain and needed a something on top. I decided to make a bow. I will say, that bows are not my specialty… as you can see! 😂. Don’t judge!
That’s all there is to it! How simple, right?
I love how this little sign came out! It’s not perfect, but you get the idea! What’s even better is that it only cost a few bucks to make! What do you all think?
PIN FOR LATER!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Creating!
